My Review:  5 delighted and love is worth trying for stars. I really enjoyed this novel for so many reasons. One, I could really become Lovey. I am around her age and her struggles with finding herself, figuring out her career path, and even navigating her love life really hit home for me. Two, I loved Marc. Dear God, Marc is a dying breed of man and I really need to find me a Marc. Three, the explosive chemistry between Marc and Lovey. I think three reasons is enough otherwise I'd write a 50 paragraph essays and nobody wants to read that. 

Marc is the captain of a professional hockey team and considered the boring one and nicknamed Captain Codger. I found it so easy to like him because he was an all around good guy. He was the type you settle down with. He was the one who knew he could and would commit to you. Marc was genuine, clever, giving, tender, adoring, and loyal. I really wanted to pluck him from the novel and keep him. 

Lovey runs away from home to make her move to Chicago. Her reason for uprooting her life had to do with her ex-boyfriend and her breaking up, she just wasn't ready to have children and marry him, but also the need to not feel suffocated. She wanted to spread her wings and have a chance at trying new experiences and so on. I found myself really understanding her well because we live in a similar life and have similar concerns and fears. She's passionate, hardworking, witty, and fun loving. Lovey was pretty easy to like when she didn't make you want to ring her neck for dumb decisions. 

Overall, the read kept me captive. I love a story that really allows for other characters outside of the main love interests to have useful roles as well as having actual character development. I like the fact that Marc could speak English and French and wasn't a complete douche. I liked that Lovey had a good head on her shoulders and was dedicated to making her own success instead of living off her brother's fame and paycheck. The story worked for me and so I just kind of loved it.
