Overview: No girl can resist a man in uniform—especially if that man is Nate Riordan. But after an injury in the line of duty leaves Nate broken, body and soul, the soldier finds himself addicted to his pain meds, with no place to call home. Desperate for an escape, Nate reluctantly accepts a friend’s invitation to a new veterans’ retreat. Expecting a little R&R, Nate is shocked when the sight of his physical therapist opens up another old wound: heartbreak.
Years ago, Alia Drake fell hard for Nate, but never made her move. Instead, she set up her sister with the sexy, confident military man, a foolish decision that continues to haunt all three of them. Now, with Nate as her patient, she can make things right—even if it means getting too close for comfort. A healing touch and a little honesty work wonders, fueling a physical intimacy that crosses professional boundaries. This time, with desire in the air once more, Alia won’t hold anything back.

Stars: 4
My Review: 4 I was planning to love you whether you wanted me to to not stars. Nate and Alia should have been but Ali gave her sister to Nate on a silver platter. She fell in love with him years ago but attempted to put it in a box and never discuss it again. Now she's his physical therapist and Nate isn't the same charming man he use to be, he's changed by the explosion that ended a good friend's life and that ensures he never forgets due to the constant agony his body is in.
Alia treats Nate hoping to solve his physical problems and possibly bring him back to the man she remembered, the one she fell in love with. She's an incredible physical therapist and uses all her knowledge to figure out how to stop Nate's pain and how to understand where it comes from. Alia's intelligent, caring, tender, compassionate, and self-sacrificing. She doesn't realize until it is far too late that she never stopped loving Nate.
Nate's in Hell and he doesn't want to have Alia seek him out. He doesn't even expect to ever see her again but there she was all gorgeous and beautiful in front of him. He agrees to have her treat him because what could he lose? He gains everything from managing his pain and treating it to having his life back. He falls in love with her and when he realizes, he doesn't let her go.
The story really makes you cheer for Alia and Nate as they find their own way. You become Nate's personal cheerleader in his fight to find himself and work through his body's pain. You also become Alia's personal cheerleader in her struggle to come to terms with her feelings and having a relationship with Nate. By the end of the book you love not only Nate, but also Alia. Serena Bell did a fabulous job with this novel.
