1. The That Man Trilogy by Nelle L'Amour
Review: I was browsing Barnes and Noble's online website in search of a new book or series when I stumbled upon this. The overview was interesting and the NOOK Book price was pretty awesome, FREE! I have to admit that I read the entire series because I'm one of those that needs to know what happens but it was quite a letdown. This series cannot stand to compete with The Crossfire novels or the This Man novels like Alessandra Torre's Innocence Series does. The writing of L'Amour's series is lack luster and mediocre. The plot line was overly rushed, even for this type of series, and the characters weren't developed enough. I wouldn't recommend this as I view it as a waste of money, but as I stated before, the first book is a free download if you are curious as to why I'm not excited over it.

2. Brother Dearest by Penelope Ward
Review: The title kind of makes people look at me weird because they believe I'm reading incest when I'm not. This novel is about step-siblings that fall in love. Before you jump the gun, they were not raised together and are only together for a few months when they fall in love. I love Elec's character and think he's the perfect mix of complex and broken to be a tragic hero type. I also love Greta for her complicated makeup and great heart. This book spans from their first meeting until they are adults living on their own. It has a few unexpected turns, heartbreaking moments, and a happy ending I didn't think would come. I honestly remember screaming into my pillow at about two in the morning because I was so excited! Ward fleshes out the characters so well that you believe them to be real people and the plot is great. This book reminds me that love, real love, will always find a way. I highly recommend this novel and warn you now, you won't be able to put it down.

Review: Who doesn't love a little heat between the sheets with a man who can guarantee you multiple orgasms? Well, not even the self proclaimed celibate Virginia Boca can, when it involves SEAL Shaun Buchanan. He's a bit dark, a bit mysterious, and someone she shouldn't be with when she's running against his father for the Mayor position. I loved the dynamic of the characters, the plot line, and the writing. Writing style is always so important because if I feel I can write on a higher level than the author, there's a problem. Overall, this book is a nice steamy read with a few quirks to make you laugh and keep you on your toes.

Review: I stumbled upon this book when scrolling through Tumblr as I follow a few romance novel review blogs. Since I liked Penelope Ward's step sibling romance so much I thought to give this book a shot. I'm really glad I did for several reasons including the interesting plot line, the character development, and the proof that love is always worth it. Abby is from a wealthy family and Emerson is the exact opposite but their parents getting together forces them into the same world. The funny part is, they have attended high school together and were aware of each other before their parents hooking up. The two had secret crushes on one another and it is only brought to light after some rather interesting events. Through a horrible twist of fate, just after the two come to realize their feelings for one another, they are ripped from each other's side. You'll have to read to find out what happens!
