Romance Review | Operation: One Night Stand by Christine Hughes

Overview: Caroline Frost had it all-until her boyfriend banged the superskank intern, and poof! Caroline's happy little bubble disappeared. Now it's been six weeks of weeping, a mountain of ice cream, and a permanent buttprint on the couch. Enough is enough. She and her ladybits need an intervention-now.

Enter Operation: One Night Stand: Find a man who is hotness personified and have some much-needed sexy time. The only problem is that Caroline is torn between a flirtatious, well-built guy and the ridiculously hot bartender serving her shots. This was supposed to be all fun and no games, but like the perfect scotch on the rocks, no good fling finishes without a twist.

My Review: A studly 4 stars to Operation One Night Stand. The premise is pretty easy to follow: girl gets cheated on, wallows in self pity, needs a good sexual tumble, and eventually finds true happiness. I thought the book was executed well and that Caroline was great. She wasn't a simpering idiot by any means. I liked Brian something fierce.

From the moment Caroline meets Brian there's the under current of attraction. Brian's hot with a witty and dirty mouth, totally understand the attraction. Caroline ends up hooking up with Ryan, Brian's roommate and college friend, much to Brian's dismay. Ryan and Caroline quickly end as Brian and Caroline continue to get to know one another. They work well together, have crazy orgasms together, and just are a fun couple.

I do have a few things to note. The book doesn't end with a clear and wrapped up happy ending where the two make life long plans or anything and there is no wrap up epilogue which is frustrating. Yes, the hero and heroine end up together but I need a more concrete ending! I like things to be wrapped up with a pretty silver bow so that's the only reason this lost a full star, I wasn't 100 percent satisfied. Overall, it was a cute and fun read.
