My Review: Fell easily in love with The Vampire's Fall! From the first few words, the story tugs you in and by the third chapter, you're captivated. There's vampires, faeries, werewolves, demons, angels, witches, and things in between. Zen and Blade meet while Zen is wandering around trying to find her memory. The two appreciate one another physically, it isn't hard when both are attractive beings.
Through a few loops in Fate's tapestry, Blade begins to help Zen in finding who and what she is. What Blade never expects is to find exactly what he needs, a reason to believe in love and have love. While Blade is trying to aid and save Zen, she's actually saving him. They save one another by falling in love and figuring out that Destiny offers more than one choice and it is up to you to make the one you believe in the most.
I loved Blade! He's a vampire faerie hybrid thanks to his genetic makeup from his parents and grandparents. He's a demon slayer due to personal reasons and keeps women at a distance due to the same reasons. Blade's a warrior, calculating, loyal, honest, and strong willed. There isn't much you can not like about him considering his faults make him all the more endearing.
Zen is much more complicated and her kind is revealed slowly throughout the story. She struggles with memory loss but knows things that don't pertain to her specifically which causes other issues. She is crafty, curious, honest, and daring. Zen is a great heroine and makes you like her all the more when she shows she has a strong and true heart.
The writing is detailed and liquid, allowing the reader to easily navigate the world of the novel. The characters work off of one another, grow, and shape through the printed words. The romantic element is strong and used well to add to the character and plot development. I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I quite honestly loved the story line, fantasy is always such a fun way to spin a story, and give the book a solid 4.5 star rating.

Layla is a survivor, struggling to deal with her own demons and the loss of her ex-fiance. Everyone tells you how strong you are and that you're a survivor, but none of them really understand just what you are going through or need. That is the place Layla has been sitting for about 18 months until she meets Michael.
Michael is all dominant alpha male that makes you beg for it. He's confident, he's smooth, he's demanding, and he's exactly what Layla needs. The awareness of one another, the terrifying pull, and the way they work together is what makes their love story so interesting. Layla didn't realize all that she needed until Michael gave her it. The prelude to sex and sex between Layla and Michael is hot which leaves you panting. The personal hurdles Layla has to overcome make your heart bleed. My Review: Days Like This took me on an emotional roller coaster and left me fragile. Graham and Cassie are tragically beautiful. Danielle Ellison spins this heartbreaking story of second chance love with skillfully chosen words and beautiful characters. The story alternates between Graham and Cassie's points of view, allowing the reader to feel what both are feeling. This approach makes it easier for the reader to see how both mirror one another, both in love, both fighting it, and both in emotional pain.
Cassie ran away from the one person who was her first everything and could ultimately break her. She went off to college and pretended she was happy even while she was suffering. Cassie comes home because she has to for her mother, and maybe a part of her comes home for Graham. She is tormented, caring, compassionate, and a bit lost. It is easy to see that Cassie aches each day with the knowledge of how she broke her and Graham.
Graham tried to pick up the pieces Cassie left behind and move forward. He realizes he hasn't moved as forward as he would like considering he always ends up having coffee, which he hates, with Cassie's mother and checking up on her. My Review: Jennifer Chance's Risk It get a solid 3.5 stars from me. I like Rand and Dani. I like the plot of the story. I loved the writing. I think the issue for me was that I couldn't connect to the characters and get sucked in the way I do with most novels I've read. I struggled to read this story towards the middle which was odd. Maybe it is the lack of driving force between the two characters. I'm not really sure but there is a charming happy ending and a fabulous beginning.

My Review: Teague and Callista make for a great pair and novel. Sometimes we can't help but trust and fall for the one we didn't even think we'd want in the first place. Teague and Callista are thrown together due to family obligations and power struggles of their society. It may be modern day America but that doesn't mean families like theirs have given up on arranged marriages. The plus for both Callie and Teague is they feel instant attraction and don't hate one another.
Teague, I do love him. He's such a good man, especially from the kind of family he is raised in. He sees the world in good and bad, rarely in the shades of grey that the world can be. He's a protector. He is clever, loyal, passionate, and gorgeous.
Callie, I really, really liked her. I think what was so refreshing about Callie was how she wasn't a simpering idiot. She took things in stride and did what she thought was best. She didn't collapse and cry at every turn. Callie's strategic, clever, loyal, and passionate. She reflects Teague, the woman version of him, and that is part of the reason they work so well together.
This gets a solid 4 stars for the strong hero and heroine, the moving plot line, and for making me fall in love with Teague. The story may not be groundbreaking or make me cry, but it was a damn good read to which I would recommend to another. I look forward to the next O'Malley book!

My Review: Hot, deliciously wicked, and emotional is what I dub At His Service by Suzanne Rock. I was hooked by the end of the first chapter and devoured the novel in public, error on my part because there were some intense scenes that caused me to gasp a bit. Rock allows the reader to really get to know both Leo and Karin. It is easy to get lost in the novel's world which definitely works in Suzanne Rock's favor. My rating is a rigid 4.5 stars for the writing, the story, and the intoxicating Leo Perconti.
Leo, intoxicating and addictive, Leo. I have a lot to say about Leo. He's the one you want to save and want to have in your bed. He's all Italian passion, screwed up seven ways to Sunday, and the family burden holder. He has a wicked mouth, a dominating personality, a loyal soul, and a tender heart. There isn't much to dislike about him. Even his flaws make you sigh and make him feel real. I loved Leo and his sexy Italian speaking self.
Karin, I really enjoyed Karin. I felt her struggle and found myself connecting to her on a personal level. She is focused, hardworking, honest, passionate, and guarded. Who wouldn't be guarded when a rich man played with your heart and treated you as though you were nothing? Karin is a good fit for Leo. She is his saving grace but he is just as much as a savior to her as she is to him.
I find this novel reminds me of the Crossfire Series, the This Man Series, and the Stark International Series. Without a doubt, this is something to read. It delivers a moving plot, characters that develop through the pages, ridiculously hot sex, and an intoxicating Italian.

My Review: I REALLY wanted to fall in love with this book but I just couldn't. The writing was good and I even liked Marcus but it all together just didn't click for me.
I really liked Marcus. He was confident, sexy, and witty. Marcus made me want to finish the book, he was my driving force. The premise of the book is what made me want to read it and it started off so strong, but then it just lost it for me. Logan is more feral than civilized. He's actually quite fun to read. Addison is trying to adjust to a major change in her life while figuring out herself. The read was easy and held me ensnared in the world Yates spun. I'm looking forward to the next part.

My Review: I love a good book that plays with mythology. Fate Undone takes Norse mythology and twists it to create something amazing. It is hard to not love both Loki (Logan) and Sylvie. The story flips between present day and their past to explain the driving forces of their present day actions. The story line moved and grew with each chapter and the characters developed and formed before the reader's eyes. An easily given 5 stars is what I rate this novel.
Who doesn't love the trickster God Loki? This story carves him out well, giving his personality depth. He is clever, fierce, protective, strategic, and cunning. His past with Sylvie ended on a bad note at his hands and Sylvie has never forgiven him. Sylvie is a Demi-Goddess, a Vala. She has hardened over the centuries and held fast to her intellect, her skills, and her pain. Loki and her are evenly matched, two kindred spirits, that appear to have been designed for one another by the Fates.
The story has elements of romance, suspense, and adventure. If this is the first book you read in the series, you won't be lost. The story itself is powerful enough and thought out enough that you don't need to read the others which makes it a great read as a standalone. It does help to be comfortable in Norse mythology but there is a nice definition page before reading the book to offer explanations for certain terminology. Overall, I loved the story and loved Loki. My Review: This novella is short but insightful. It does its purpose, shed light into Jakob's mind and life. Since the story is told through his point of view it is easy to be inside his head and understand why he is the way he is. I liked the read and feel it is a good addition to the series. It is always nice to see things from his point of view. My rating stands at an easy 4 stars.

My Review: Who doesn't love a good historical romance novel? I know I sure do and I found one in Jess Michael's A Marquis for Mary. While this is the fifth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone without confusion happening. I've never read any of the author's books before but I'm glad I read this because it charmed me. A Marquis for Mary receives an easy 4 stars from me for the sweet story line, the great hero and heroine, and a lovely happy ending.
Mary leaves no room to not like her! She's honest, charming, loyal, and protective of what she cares for. In a time where women were nothing more than pawns of the society to be married off, seen and not heard, Mary is a delight. She takes in stride Edward's secret and would do what she must to protect him.
Edward didn't mean to end up with a wife so soon after reentering society but is exactly what happened when he couldn't control his pull towards Mary. He has a tortured soul due to his deceased wife. Edward is noble, cunning, protective, sweet, and a great match for Mary. He holds tight to her even when she attempts to flee in order to do what she believes is best.
Simply, I liked the story. I liked the characters. There isn't much to not like and the hero is more than worthy of the heroine. A Marquis for Mary was a fun and easy read to which I would recommend to anyone who enjoys historical romance.

Kelly Jamieson is such a fantastic writer and it is shown through her ability to flawlessly execute this story. Sloane is a character I directly relate to and I love it. I find I'm a lot like her so the connection was easy. Levi is the best kind of guy, kind of like a less brooding version of Gideon Cross. The two sizzle together like bacon in a hot pan. They test one another, expose one another to feelings, and have ridiculous amounts of physical chemistry. The read was easy because once I started, I didn't stop until I gulped down the last word on the last page. Sometimes we find love when we aren't looking and that is the best kind of love there is.

I was given this novel in exchange for an honest review and I swallowed it whole! This story is focused on Arrow, well, his love life that comes about due to Rake's little sister Anna. Anna is a spitfire, a sass pot, and can hold her own. Anna is like Faye in a few ways and they eventually become good friends. Rake makes it known that his little sister is off limits but that doesn't mean his will can stop what is meant to happen.
Arrow is conflicted, broken, and brooding since Mary's death and his time in jail. This story picks up a bit after he has been out and back with the Wind Dragons. His instant attraction to Anna makes him brood even more for he feels he doesn't deserve to live when Mary can longer do so. The two compliment each other, make each other better, and love each other the right way. The story will tug at your very soul because you will feel for Arrow and Anna at different moments. My Review: An easy read that allows the reader to like both Ellie and Brett. Ellie can't stand Brett but only because of his profession. Brett doesn't like that Ellie doesn't like him. The two end up as unlikely allies when a problem from Ellie's past comes knocking at her door. There's a sassy heroine, a duty driven and tender hearted hero, and a happy ending.
There isn't much to dislike about this story so it receives a solid for star rating from me. It didn't blow me away or make me have screaming fits, but I did enjoy it with zero struggle to finish. Ellie has a sassy mouth, is fluent in sarcasm, and knows what she's about. Honestly, I liked her because she's quite modern with a few very classic values. Brett is the all American kind of guy who wants to do good. He doesn't abuse his position as a cop but also still strongly believes in the system. When he and Ellie finally collide romantically, it's quite beautiful to watch unfold.
My Review: An easy read that allows the reader to like both Ellie and Brett. Ellie can't stand Brett but only because of his profession. Brett doesn't like that Ellie doesn't like him. The two end up as unlikely allies when a problem from Ellie's past comes knocking at her door. There's a sassy heroine, a duty driven and tender hearted hero, and a happy ending.
There isn't much to dislike about this story so it receives a solid for star rating from me. It didn't blow me away or make me have screaming fits, but I did enjoy it with zero struggle to finish. Ellie has a sassy mouth, is fluent in sarcasm, and knows what she's about. Honestly, I liked her because she's quite modern with a few very classic values. Brett is the all American kind of guy who wants to do good. He doesn't abuse his position as a cop but also still strongly believes in the system. When he and Ellie finally collide romantically, it's quite beautiful to watch unfold.

My Review: 5 hopelessly devoted stars to Liora Blake's True Devotion. I just keep running around sighing Simon, Simon, Simon. The man is everything you could ever desire and hope for. Blake weaves Devon and Simon's story beautifully with the skill of a master weaver.
Devon and Simon are equals, matched in both passion and wits. Devon doesn't do emotional attachments because of a past that she'd rather forget. She's independent, witty, sarcastic, and blunt. She verbally spars with Simon on the regular and swears she's not attracted to him until two different moments present themselves to which she attempts to throw herself at him. Simon is charming, witty, snarky, and has a filthy mouth. He knows he is a hot commodity but also knows what and who he wants. He wants a relationship and wants it with Devon.
I have to say I have a lot of feelings. This book made me sigh, laugh, snort, and pant. The chemistry between Devin and Simon is off the charts. It was great to see how they progressed from screwing like rabbits to genuinely becoming a part of one another. Simon was so patient and caring that it gave me chest pains. If you can't tell, I'm so totally in love with Simon. The story grew and evolved, taking the characters along with it and shaping them, and ended with the almighty happy ending. If you're looking for a more emotional read which holds you within its clutches, this is the novel for you.

My Review: I was given this novel in exchange for an honest review. An unexpected page turner is what Wicked Ride was and earned a perfect rating! This is my first time reading anything written by Rebecca Zanetti and she now has a new fan, me! When I began this book I expected it to be interesting but there were elements that came to light I never expected! These elements allowed the book to hold me hostage until I read every last word!
The writing is solid, potent, and vivid. I love Zanetti's writing style! The two main characters work well and sizzle together. Kellach is fair, protective, tender, fierce, and possessive. I loved him from the first moment he was introduced in the novel. Alexandra is a modern day woman with a few daddy issues. I loved Alexandra because she has a strong character, a loyal personality, and a good heart. The story has lots of moving parts and even the secondary characters are important and well built into the story. If you don't fall in love with Kellach, you are immune to the Irish charm which is a pity.

My Review: Unraveled by Him Review I read the first book and this one picks up right where the first one leaves off. I have to admit that the first one was not well suited for me but I read this one in hopes of better character development and a genuine care to be shown. I must say I was disappointed on BOTH accounts but the writing still remained pretty decent.
Robert doesn't have the makings of a redeemable hero which frustrates me to no end considering I feel he could if fleshed out better. Miranda seems to be on par with Georgiana's crazy which puts me off. I wanted some really solid tender care and loving which I just didn't get. I can't see how Miranda and Robert love one another and would even consider marriage with one another.
There's some serious crazy shit that happens and it left me even more confused. Honestly, I think this is the most confused I've ever felt when reading. The story has so much potential but it let me down. I really respect the author's writing ability and just wish I could love the book instead of giving it a shaky 3 stars.

My Review: Once Upon a Cowboy gets 4 stars. The read was sweet. Cole is damn near perfect and Jess is more than a little messed up. Jess had a horrible young life which left her scared physically and emotionally. Cole and Jess have been dancing the attraction line for two years until it all comes to a head. I liked the book, it was an easy read and pretty well written but it also was a touch boring. I suppose I like more conflict throughout a story and this story doesn't have much. Overall, I liked the story and liked the main characters.
