Overview: In a novel that's perfect for fans of Abbi Glines and Jessica Sorensen, USA Today bestselling author Lauren Layne delivers a sexy take on the timeless question: Can a guy and a girl really be “just friends”?
When Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the connection is immediate—and platonic. Six years later, they're still best friends, sharing an apartment in Portland's trendy Northwest District as they happily settle into adult life. But when Parker's boyfriend dumps her out of the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben's no-strings-attached approach to dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can't seem to get the hang of casual sex—until she tries it with him.
The arrangement works perfectly . . . at first. The sex is mind-blowing, and their friendship remains as solid as ever, without any of the usual messy romantic entanglements. But when Parker's ex decides he wants her back, Ben is shocked by a fierce stab of possessiveness. And when Ben starts seeing a girl from work, Parker finds herself plagued by unfamiliar jealousy. With their friendship on the rocks for the first time, Parker and Ben face an alarming truth: Maybe they can't go back. And maybe, deep down, they never want to.

My Review: Ben, LOVE ME! Maybe this story hit home for me because I'm 24 or maybe I just really loved Ben. It might be a bit of both, honestly, but I loved Blurred Lines. The premise is as old as time but was written well. Cheers to Lauren Layne for such a captivating read. Without a doubt I give Blurred Lines 5 bright, happy, and in love stars.
The age old question is can guys and girls really only ever be friends and that is where this story kicks off. Parker and Ben have been best friends since college but is that because they both never saw what was right in front of them or because they truly only felt nothing more than platonic friendship towards one another. Well, when Ben kisses the daylights out of Parker after she challenges him, we all learn the answer to that question.
Ben is quite the player and has a different bunny in his bed every night while Parker has been with the same guy from college for years. When Parker becomes single and realizes she should have taken more notice to all the wrong things and focused on them earlier, she leans on Ben. After spending time with her family and Ben, and hearing her mother point out sometimes people don't see what is right in front of them, Parker starts to see Ben in a different light.
Parker and Ben know each other well, work well together, and can go from deeply passionate to chilling out on the couch with ease. They can talk about anything, tease one another, and remain loyal to each other. The two are clearly meant to be together and sometimes it just takes for something to force them to realize it. This story is of them realizing they are better together as more than best friends but best friends and lovers. It was funny, witty, sweet, and sometimes painful. I loved the story and could find almost no fault here.
This book sounds like a lot of fun haha! I might give this a try, especially since you really enjoyed it :) Thanks for sharing!
