Spotlight | Stripped Bounty by Dorothy F. Shaw

1. Sum up this book in 20 words or less!: Two people slammed into a situation they didn’t ask for. And through it all…they fell in love.

2. What celebrity do you think most physically resembles Drew (yeah, I like calling him by his real name)?: I hate this question. I don’t look to celebrities to find what my character looks like, is that weird? I know that some authors do. I don’t…so, lets see. Annnnnd I got nothing. Who do you think he looks like?

3. Choose 5 songs to describe the relationship between Rosie and Drew.:
    1. I Put A Spell On You – The Annie Lennox version.
    2. A Beautiful Mess – Jason Mraz
    3. I Found Love (When I Found You) – Kenny Wayne Shepherd
    4. Fade Into You – Mazzy Star
    5. I’ll Follow You - Shinedown

4. What do you think makes this book standout in the genre?: Well, I like to think that I write my characters as true to real life as I possible. The plot may be a classic romance trope, but its how you write that trope that matters. I want to give the reader a dose of reality inside their fantasy. I think that’s what sets my books apart. At least I hope that’s what does.

5. In five sentences or less explain why the hero and heroine work well together and make someone root for them?: The very instant they met, a connection formed between them. Rosie cared, even though she didn’t know why, what Badger thought of her. Instinctively, she didn’t want to let him down. And he knew, also instinctively, that she deserved so much more than she was giving herself.

6. The first time the hero and heroine kiss is: Ooh, it’s so very built up, I get breathless when I read it.

7. Why did Rosie go to Arizona? She could have picked any state so what made Arizona special?: Truth? I wanted to write a story that is set where I live. So…there you go. It wasn’t up to Rosie, it was up to me. LOL.

8. I know you have playlists for when you write, share 10 songs from your playlist? Please and thank you!:
Stripped Bounty Play List:
  1. R U Mine – Arctic Monkeys
  2. Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy – Bad Company

  7. You Know I’m No Good – Amy Winehouse
  8. I’ll Be – Edwin McCain
  9. Holy Grail – Jay Z
  10. Heated – Tarra Layne
9. Where did you get the inspiration for Wolf because he's a babe!?: Ah, my dearest Wolf is derived from a very hot, HOT, super hot biker from my past. Just to be clear, only in his looks were used. Wolf’s personality came out of my head, and because he’s a side character, he’s not fully formed. But he will be…*cackles*

10. What are you currently working on?: Jaded Heart – book 4 in The Donnellys, baby doll!

Meet the Author

Dorothy F. Shaw stumbled into a career in Corporate America and has spent the last 20 years climbing the corporate ladder. A fan of journaling about her troubles, she started an online blog in 2009, and poured her emotions out for all to see.

As luck would have it, the first post came out in the form of a poem. A few authors she'd met online encouraged her to write more, and in the span of 2 years she wrote over 150 poems. The poems led to short stories, which blossomed into novels. Evident from the very beginning was her voice as an author that is real and packed with wit and sarcasm. Her stories will always include complex, broken people trying to figure out how to start and keep a relationship as well as lots of hot, steamy sex. As Dorothy sees it, the journey is the best part.

When she's not writing, she's a mother, and a friend to many. She truly lives and loves in technicolor!

Keep up with Dorothy on Facebook, TwitterInstagram, Pinterest and Goodreads

Stripped Bounty Teaser: With a wink in his direction, simply to bust his balls, she pulled off the glasses and tossed them aside. Raising her hands to her hair, she yanked the two strategically placed pins free and let the mass of dark thickness fall down around her shoulders. Fine. He didn’t like strippers. Well, Rosie wasn’t the average stripper, and she intended to show him that.

Without hesitation, Rosie reached for the pole, swung around and pulled herself up, scissoring her legs into the air before curling herself around the cool steel as if she’d just done this deal yesterday. Technically, she had…

Book Information: Protecting her isn’t an option. It’s a requirement.

Badger finally got Rosie in his bed, but in order to keep her there, he has to figure out how to save her life.

After her drug-running husband gets himself killed, Rosie Santini figures Phoenix is a fine place to get a fresh start. Deuce’s strip club isn’t too fresh, but the money’s easy. As she works the pole, the only gaze she can’t ignore belongs to the club’s head bouncer, Badger Baxter. But Rosie’s seen her fair share of tall, dark, and dangerous, and no way is she heading down that road. Not even for a hot hunk of muscle like Badger.

When he’s not bounty hunting, Badger runs security at Deuce’s. Rosie should be just another piece of fresh meat in the club’s stable of pole jockeys, but all her sexy parts add up to a ride Badger would like to test drive. Trouble is, Badger likes his women submissive, but not broken. She’s definitely got baggage he wants no part of. But when her husband’s killer shows up looking for stolen cash, she fits naturally under his protection—and it isn’t long before she’s hooked deep into his heart.

So deep, losing her now would make him bleed in more ways than one.
